What’s Your Money Story Telling You?

Hey friend,

Have I mentioned how much I’m loving connecting with you?

Because I am.

Thank you so much for being here with me every week and allowing me to share a bit of myself with you <3

Now, onto the good stuff.

Here are the 3 things that have been on my heart this week:

1. What are our inner demons telling us about our money story?

I went for a walk last week with my dog Ozie. As we were outside, I noticed how this tiny pup cast a shadow that was twice his size.

It got me thinking… how the stories we tell ourselves are like the shadows we cast. How they seem so big and scary, how they look like they’re really there- but in reality, all you have to do is shine a little light on them and they disappear into thin air.

Because like our money stories- shadows don’t hold any substance, they’re just an absence of light.

What stories are you telling yourself about money that are keeping you in the dark? What can you shed some light on (beliefs you can let go of) that can help you out of that place of scarcity and fear- and back into the light?

Wealth begins with a belief…

So does scarcity.

Which belief would you rather hold?

2. Are you following along with my own personal journey to wealth over on Instagram?

I love connecting with you each week, don’t get me wrong- but I would also love to connect daily and share with you my own journey to wealth and what it looks like for this mamapreneur through the ups and downs.

How I Get Stuff Done!

Why Hello Dear Friend,

It’s so nice to see you again this Saturday morning.  Here are the three things that are on my heart this week!

1. Surrender

This is something I have the opportunity to practice everyday.  And, boy, is it a challenge for me. This past week it seemed like an opportunity kicked it up a notch, took steroids, and it was in high force.

Surrender actually means releasing resistance.

LuBed.jpg

When looking at it that way, I ask myself, why would I ever want to welcome in resistance?

Every night when I put my daughter to bed, one of my favorite moments is watching her actually fall asleep. The moment she sheepishly closes her eyes, her body infuses with peace, and pure love takes over. THIS is surrendering.

Can you imagine what life would be like if we surrender to our relationship with money? If we welcome in money, and treat it like our best friend.

Life would be so different.

We’d care for it, never let it disappear, love it and visit it often.

This week, I encourage {maybe even dare} you to journal, spend an hour or an entire day, to surrender to your relationship with money and greet it like your dearest friend.

Be sure to hit reply and tell me how it went-I want to hear all the details!

 2. My Furry Family

I love animals. I always have. If I had my way with my favorite animal, I would have a white tiger living with me. So far in life, I have had the blessings to have Ozie and Airlie in our life! I’d love to share them with you!

Oz.jpg

Ozie is a twelve years young Yorki-Poo. He, literally, is the best dog. He loves our daughter Lucy and sleeps with her every night + nap. He loves his little play piggies, and red spaghetti sauce! Ozie even given inspiration, you can read my blog HERE

Airlie.jpg

Airlie (named after Airlie Beach, Australia) is Himalayan Seal Tortie Point. She loves sleeping under the covers, and took almost two years to warm up to our daughter. Now, there isn’t a night that Lucy doesn’t say goodnight to her and give her a toy before before.

Do you have a furry family? Share them with me- picture and all!

3. How I Get S&!@ Done

I want to share with you my favorite kickstarter drink.  I love my Arbonne Energy Fizz Stick. With this Gluten Free, Vegan Certified, Pure, Safe, Beneficial drink, I enhance my alertness and cognitive performance when I drink it! This botanical blend has guarana, green tea, ginseng combined with B vitamins and Chromium to promote energy!  (Chromium helps support healthy blood sugar).

I usually have a half in the morning and then half after I put my daughter down for her nap mid day. This is what helped me through those sleepless nights as a new mama- being up every two hours never served me. These saved me and make me feel human again!

*I love sharing the things I love, and I love Arbonne products! In this case, I am an affiliate of these products, so please let me know if I can be with you and support on this journey too!*

Leaving Room For Pizza Dates In Your Budget

Hey Friend,

Here are the 3 things that have been on my heart this week that I can’t wait to share with you.

1. The Courage It Takes To Say “Yes” To Ourselves

I’ve been going to a horse farm in town with my daughter Lucy since she was four months old. Ever since walking, she stays away from the fence where she could climb up and pet the horses, always eyeing it cautiously, but always wanting to be near her four legged friends.

This past visit, the most magical thing happened: She finally found the confidence and the courage to climb up on the fence, fearlessly, and share a beautiful moment of connection with this sweet and loving being.

And it got me thinking… that is exactly what it takes on your wealth building journey.

It takes the confidence and the courage to do what you’re afraid to do- so that you can have the things you’ve always thought were out of reach.

When you find the courage to have that conversation with yourself, and the confidence to say “Yes- this is the path that I need to walk”... the magic that you see here in this photo, is right there waiting for you too.

 2. Leaving Room For Pizza Dates In Your Budget

We have a rule in our home-

If we don’t value it, it isn’t in our budget. This past month, we didn’t plan for dining out, because it wasn’t something we ever needed to do. I honestly prefer to stay home and eat the food we make!!

But with my husband traveling for work, and me being a full time mama and entrepreneur Monday thru Friday, I kept finding that by the Thursday or Friday, I just didn’t have the energy to make a home cooked dinner.

So Lucy and I had pizza dates on one of those nights- and I kept “blowing the budget” because they weren’t planned for.

But the thing is, those pizza dates became something that added value to our family. So the answer wasn’t to suck it up, cook the dinners and add more to my plate- it was the awareness to add room in our budget for next month so that I could enjoy those nights off without all of the added guilt that came with them before.

Your budget isn’t meant to be something so unrealistic that it doesn’t leave you any room at all to breathe.

So make sure when you’re writing out yours that you have realistic expectations for what your life will look like that month, and the funds that will allow you to live it- while still striving towards your wealth goals.

3. Why Self-Care is the Missing Piece in your Wealth Building Plan

If you’re anything like me- you are probably not the highest person on your priority list.

But there are so many reasons why you should be.

I dove in to why self-care is the one practice you should always build into your wealth plan, and why it makes a difference in this week’s new blog.
